About Us

Hold It Baby was created in 2009 by Elizabeth Lyons. Elizabeth had quite simply grown weary of hearing "Uh oh" from the backseat of the car as she barreled down the highway, or having to return a toy or book to a child in a stroller after it had fallen onto a hardly sanitary floor in lieu of tolerating his screams of protest.

Unable to understand why no one had created a durable, non-toxic product that would hold not just sippy cups but also the board books, stuffed animals, small blankets, small electronics, and toys that her kids continually dropped (or threw) from the car seat, stroller, high chair, shopping cart, backpack carrier, or bike trailer, she took it upon herself to bring that particular sanity-saver to market.

At Hold It Baby, everyone is a Director. Of something. But rarely of someone.

We adopted this approach because none of us likes the term “employee.” We aren’t fond of saying it. Or being it. Here at Hold It Baby, we don’t have to do either one. And this allows us to sail through our busy days sustained by gratitude alone (although, by Friday, a shot of espresso never hurts).
